Haus of Gloi‏ Perfume Oils | Guest Post by All The Vanity

I have the great pleasure of hosting a guest post from a girl, who in addiction of being my favorite Greek beauty blogger, I'm fortunate to consider as a mentor and a close friend. Our acquaintance with Tina happened when I began blogging and what I love about her is her incredible modesty, her amazing writting skills, her obsession for perfection and if you too want to have a taste you can do so by simply following gorgeous All The Vanity.

Haus of Gloi Perfume Oils: Absinthe, Satyr, Troika, Vice

When my dear Irene asked me to write a guest post for Blushing Loves, I figured it would be a perfect opportunity to blog about Haus of Gloi and let you all know about this lovely vegan brand from the U.S.! Haus of Gloi specialize in bodycare and perfume oils and they feature a great core selection, along with many seasonal collections. Needless to say, that the quality of their products, along with the gorgeous scents, all curated with great imagination and care , have ensured many repeat orders by me!

Today, I'll be reviewing four of the perfume oils in their core collection: Absinthe, Satyr, Troika and Vice.
Absinthe is created with the notorious beverage in mind: it's a mixture of herbal and fresh, thanks to the mint, green moss and lemon notes it contains, yet slightly bitter, probably due to the spicier anise. On me, the lemon notes are more prominent than in the bottle and, unfortunately, I don't find it to last as long as the others.
Satyr is not one for the faint-hearted and definitely lives up to its name: a mix of Italian blood orange with blackened vanilla, it's every bit as lively and decadent as you'd imagine (I suspect fans of Dolce&Gabbana perfumes would enjoy this)! This one has excellent longevity, in fact I can still smell it even after I've bathed! Definitely a scent for the colder months in my opinion - although those that dislike sweeter scents may want to give this one a pass.
Troika (my fellow Greek readers, believe me, I know what you're all thinking) is a very rich perfume, warm, and probably a little heady: its notes consist of soft milks, almond, oat and coconut, along with sweet agave nectar and clean white. Those of you that enjoy heavy perfumes like Aromatics Elixir or Youth Dew, will love it, but, to me, this is too heavy to be used directly on the skin. I would definitely enjoy its luxuriousness more in the form of a soap or a scrub!
Vice has to be my personal favorite, as it reminds me of two of my largest...vices: coffee and chocolate! This gourmand winner is so delicious that my only problem with it is that it doesn't come in... ice cream form too! For those that worry about the marshmallow notes: don't, the sweetness is well balanced out by the coffee, hazelnut and black chocolate notes!

As a personal recommendation, I'd strongly suggest their whipped soaps and bubbling scrubs, consistencies that I've never come across in other brands. Do note that each order is accompanied by a little perfume oil as a gift-with-purchase (though the choice is a random one)!

Όταν η αγαπητή μου Ειρήνη, μου ζήτησε να γράψω ένα guest post για το Blushing Loves, σκέφτηκα ότι θα ήταν μια τέλεια ευκαιρία να μιλήσω για την Haus of Gloi και να σας πληροφορήσω για την υπέροχη αυτή vegan εταιρεία από τις Η.Π.Α.! Η Haus of Gloi ειδικεύεται σε προϊόντα περιποίησης σώματος και αρωματικά έλαια και χαρακτηρίζεται από μια μεγάλη ποικιλία σε μόνιμα προϊόντα, αλλά και από πολλές εποχιακές συλλογές. Περιττό να πω, πως η ποιότητα των προϊόντων τους, μαζί με τις πανέμορφες μυρωδιές, όλες επιμελημένες με ιδιαίτερη φαντασία και φροντίδα, έχουν εξασφαλίσει πολλές επαναλαμβανόμενες ποικιλίες από την υπογράφουσα!

Σήμερα, θα κάνω reviews για τέσσερα από τα αρωματικά έλαια της μόνιμης συλλογής τους: τα Αbsinthe, Satyr, Troika και Vice.
To Αbsinthe (=αψέντι) έχει δημιουργηθεί με το περιβόητο ποτό κατά νου: είναι ένα μίγμα από φρέσκες νότες και νότες βοτάνων, χάρη στη μέντα, το green moss και το λεμόνι που περιέχει, αν και είναι ελαφρώς πικρό, πιθανώς εξαιτίας του πικάντικου anise. Πάνω μου, οι νότες του λεμονιού είναι πιο έντονες απ' ότι στο μπουκάλι, και, δυστυχώς δεν το βρίσκω να διαρκεί τόσο πολύ σε σύγκριση με τα υπόλοιπα.
Το Satyr δεν είναι για τους ντροπαλούς και σίγουρα ανταποκρίνεται στο όνομά του: ένα μίγμα από σαγκουΐνι Ιταλίας και μαύρη βανίλια, είναι ακριβώς τόσο ζωηρό και παρακμιακό όσο φαντάζεστε (υποθέτω πως οι λάτρεις των αρωμάτων Dolce&Gabbana θα το απολαύσουν)! Το συγκεκριμένο έχει εξαιρετική διάρκεια, μάλιστα μπορώ να το διακρίνω πάνω μου και μετά το μπάνιο! Σαφώς ένα άρωμα για τους πιο κρύους μήνες κατά τη γνώμη μου - αν και όσοι δεν αρέσκονται στις πιο γλυκές μυρωδιές ίσως καλύτερα να το προσπεράσουν.
Το Troika (αγαπητοί Έλληνες αναγνώστες, πιστέψτε με, ξέρω ακριβώς τί σκέφτεστε) είναι ένα πολύ πλούσιο άρωμα, ζεστό και μάλλον ελαφρώς ζαλιστικό: οι νότες του αποτελούνται από γάλα, αμύγδαλο, βρώμη και καρύδα, μαζί με νέκταρ αγαύης και λευκό λινό. Όσοι από εσάς απολαμβάνετε βαριά αρώματα όπως τα Aromatics Elixir και Youth Dew, θα το αγαπήσετε, όμως, για μένα είναι πολύ βαρύ για χρήση απευθείας στο δέρμα. Θα απολάμβανα την πολυτελή του αίσθηση περισσότερο στη μορφή ενός σαπουνιού ή ενός scrub!
Το Vice είναι το αγαπημένο μου, καθώς μου θυμίζει δύο από τα μεγαλύτερα μου...βίτσια: τον καφέ και τη σοκολάτα! Αυτός ο νικητής της εδώδιμης κατηγορίας είναι τόσο λαχταριστός, ώστε το μόνο που μπορώ να του προσάψω είναι το ότι δεν βγαίνει και σε...παγωτό! Για όσους ανησυχούν για τις νότες ζαχαρωτών: δε χρειάζεται, η γλυκύτητα εξισορροπείται από τις νότες του καφέ, του φουντουκιού και της μαύρης σοκολάτας!

Ρίξτε μια ματιά στο HausofGloi.com, και τσεκάρετε την μεγάλη τους ποικιλία! Σαν προσωπική σύσταση, θα πρότεινα τα whipped σαπούνια τους και τα bubbling scrubs, συνθέσεις που δεν έχω συναντήσει σε άλλες εταιρείες. Σημειώστε ότι κάθε παραγγελία συνοδεύεται από ένα μικρο perfume oil ως δωράκι (αν και η επιλογή είναι τυχαία)!
